Maps and ohhh so much more...

Day Negative One
Okay so here it is in case you were wondering... Nicaragua in all its glory. Sandwiched between Honduras to the North and Costa Rica on the South with two ocean borders. Mi amigas de Roatan: sadly, our little bay island didn't even make the map. Hopefully this trip will be just as fun as the last.

We are flying into Managua, which is the capital city and also one of the more dangerous places to be at night. Thankfully we will be in and out during the day time. Flight down is about 3 1/2 hours from Houston followed by a two hour van drive to the city of San Juan del Sur. It's on the Southwest coast of the country along the Pacific Ocean. Apparently there may be some surfing when we get there. I'm prepared with my new underwater camera, gracias George for the advice.I said goodbye to my 23 amazing JAMP students at the clinic. Best summer job ever! Thanks Dr. K, Nancy and Chuck.

I then spent the rest of the day shopping, packing and finishing up odds and ends. I am now the proud owner of a fanny pack... no laughing matter Gil... you are going to be sooo Jealous.

I must give a shout out to the two gentlemen and one sister who helped me last night print out Bachelorette cards, one of my MOH duties... don't worry... your identity shall stay protected (let's just say their names rhyme with Laecel and Lerek), but I couldn't have done it without you and your sweet-sweet card poetry writing/printing skills. Mad props!
